Summer Art and Enrichment Programs

Learn. Grow. And Have Fun.

This is pre-college enrichment giving you a chance to experience courses you may want to take in college.  Whether you are interested in visual arts, performing arts, language study, culinary arts, or fashion design, Enrichment gives you maximum choices and scheduling flexibility. So, you can focus on your favorite activity, try something new, or do both. With our weekly sessions you can stay as long as you like and take different courses each week.

Plus, you can mix and match those courses with many more in Sports & Fitness, Science & Technology, and Business & Leadership — including Yoga, Tennis, Computers, Engineering & Robotics, SAT Test Prep, Community Service and others.

"Raved about the courses"

"Kayla has been to sleepaway camp in the past and has had a few good summer experiences but nothing that has resonated with her as much as JKCP.  She raved about the courses (from cooking and public speaking to photography and art), the counselors, and the trips.  She's already talking about summer 2011!”  Aisha G, parent

Study Your Favorite Arts

Expand your horizons

This is your chance to explore new skills and experiences in a friendly atmosphere with great teachers and classmates — people who are excited about the same things you are. There are several groups for each course and we’ll make sure you’re in the right one for you.

The choice is yours!

Setting up your day is easy. You'll choose either one course for the whole day, or one course for the morning, 9:30-12:00, and another for the afternoon, 1:30-4:00.

For example, you might do Photography from 9:30 to 12. Film Studies from 1:30 to 4:00. That sounds like a great week. View the full Enrichment schedule to create your custom week.

Film Studies

Films consistently change to reflect popular culture. From script to screen, we’ll help you develop an appreciation of film no matter what year they were made.

While everyone enjoys taking photographs, not everyone is a photographer. Enhance your artistic vision, as you learn to “see” like a photographer.

School of English

Everyone has something to say and everyone has to write. This course will teach students to tell a story in 100 words or less. It’s a great writing skill for the short attention span of many readers today.

!Me encanta JKCP!  Want to learn what this means? Check out our intro to Spanish class this summer. You’ll love our unique approach to language instruction.

You be the Designer!  Are you Retro or Rockstar? Feeling cool and edgy; colorful and bold? Or, maybe keep it simple and learn how less can be more. Whatever you are feeling, have fun and express yourself creatively.

Urban Art

Step outside the classroom and use the world as your canvas. Recreate a street sign, a coffee cup or fire hydrant; use your imagination to turn everyday items into art.  Street art and contemporary graffiti may be your thing.

Video Production

Get on set and behind the camera.  From storyboard to debut, experience the complete production process.

Web Design

Wish you had a personal website? Do you have a site that’s totally outdated? Learn how to do it yourself as you get behind the scenes of “free” web design.
