In addition to learning about international relations and preparing for and participating in Model UN simulations, you’ll live at the University of Pennsylvania. You’ll eat in Penn’s main dining facilities, play sports and enjoy social activities in your free time. Here’s the schedule for a typical day:
7:45 A.M. — Wake-up
You’ll be living in Penn’s famous Quadrangle.
8:15 — Breakfast
Use your Summer Penn Card at 1920 Commons, Starbucks, Einstein Bagels or 3C.
9:00 — Morning Workshops
Attend workshops on world
politics, current events and international relations theory.
12:00 — Lunch
Join your fellow students
at one of the University’s dining facilities.
1:30 — Afternoon Workshops, Research, Interactive Sessions and Guest Speakers
Opportunities to learn
public speaking, debating and negotiating skills, work in groups to prepare for your Model UN simulations, and meet with prestigious guest speakers on international relations topics.
3:30 — Afternoon Activities
Your choice of activities. Play Frisbee in the Quad. Catch some rays. Email friends. Hit the gym. Visit the bookstore, Starbucks or Einstein Bagels.
6:00 — Dinner
Most evenings we dine together. Thursday evenings are reserved for cultural dinners at local ethnic restaurants.
7:00 — Evening Activities
Scheduled activities on campus or in town.
