In addition to preparing for and participating in Model UN simulations, you’ll live at the University of Pennsylvania. You’ll eat in Penn’s main dining facilities, play sports and enjoy social activities in your free time. Here’s the schedule for a typical day:
7:45 A.M. — Wake-up
You’ll be living right on the Penn
campus in the famous Quadrangle.
8:15 — Breakfast
Use your Summer Penn Card for breakfast
on campus at 1920 Commons, Starbucks or 3C.
9:00 — Morning Workshops
Attend workshops on world
politics, current events, international relations theory and
case studies of international crises.
12:00 — Lunch
Join your fellow students
at one of the University’s many dining facilities.
1:30 — Afternoon Workshops, Research, Interactive Sessions and Guest Speakers
Opportunities to learn essential
public speaking, debating and negotiating skills, work in groups to prepare for your Model UN simulations, and meet with prestigious guest speakers on international relations topics.
3:30 — Afternoon Activities
Your choice of activities. Play Frisbee in the Quad. Catch some rays. Email friends. Hit the gym. Visit the bookstore or Starbucks.
6:00 — Dinner
Most evenings we dine together on campus at 1920 Commons. Thursday evenings are reserved for cultural dinners at ethnic restaurants.
7:00 — Evening Activities
There are scheduled activities to interest everyone, whether you’d rather stay on campus or go downtown.
