Back on My Feet Annual Benefit

Last Friday, Julian Krinsky Camps & Programs attended the third annual Back on My Feet Bash at Philadelphia’s Hyatt Regency Hotel.   The tone of the evening was set by the suggested dress code: cocktail attire and your favorite pair of sneakers.   Along with engendering some truly spectacular dance moves, the increased mobility allowed for re-connecting with a lot of the companies and mentors that participated in our Career Builders Internship Program at the University of Pennsylvania.   I can say with certainty that this would have been impossible in loafers or pumps.   Both Julian and Adrian would like to congratulate Back on My Feet on three years of enriching the lives of homeless men and women through physical activity, career development and individual counseling.

It was wonderful to have participated in the evening.   The speeches inspired me, the music moved me and my feet – not shackled by the restraints of formal footwear – had the liberty to “do their own thing.”   They walked me to some wonderful people on the front lines of the organization.   Their accomplishments and success stories were awe-inspiring.   Both as an individual and an organization we commit ourselves annually to community service.   It’s a breath of fresh air to see that other groups have laced up their sneakers and ran a similar route.   Again, congratulations, from everyone at Julian Krinsky Camps & Programs.
